I read Ted Wragg’s article (TES, January 11) with disbelief. David Singleton, head of local authority inspection for the Office for Standards in Education, has apparently concluded that ”‘satisfactory’ is not satisfactory.” Having endured the stress of inspections and emerged with a few “satisfactory” markers to my name, I cannot believe that the omniscient and omnipresent Mr Singleton has the “balls” to suggest this. More strength to you, Mr Wragg.
