Geography Highlights Folens pound;14.95 each
This series of three booklets, for infants, Years 34 and Years 56, confirms the fact that teaching geography through photocopiable activity sheets is far from satisfactory. Relying largely on imaginary localities, they fail to represent the real world with any accuracy.
The resources have been designed to complement the QCA schemes of work; each unit contains a useful page with background information, follow-up and extension ideas. Some of the activity sheets may be useful if enlarged or projected on overhead transparencies. Some may even provide “five-minute fillers”, although it might be better to save the paper for something else.
