Whenever you think you’ve got problems buying computers for your school, spare a tought for those such as Makhenkesi Stofile technical high in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province. It now has 20 computers, all donated, but had to wait until electricity was connected before they could be used. Internet access is still not available because there are no phone lines to the remote community. Given these problems, maybe lowly dial-up Net connections are not so bad after all.
