North Lanarkshire’s director Michael O’Neill might have made another appearance in the Sun. Arrangements to meet up with and direct two female colleagues to a meeting in Stirling went awry and he found himself driving solo, the two colleagues having disappeared into the hinterland of AirdrieCubernauld.
Communication was re-established when someone from the education offices got through on his mobile with the message: “There are two women waiting for you at the gasworks in Glenmavis.”
On second thoughts, never mind the Sun: what would Mrs O’Neill have made of it?
