UNESCO World Teachers’ Day takes place this Saturday and education secretary Gavin Williamson is calling for teachers and heads to post videos on social media giving reasons why they are #ProudToTeach
The annual day, which is an occasion to take stock of teachers’ achievements, will this year focus on the theme of “Young Teachers: The future of the Profession”.
Mr Williamson said: “Teachers here in England, and around the world, have a truly life-changing impact on their students, acting as inspirational educators, role models and mentors.
