THE Church of England has called for a review of the additional workload created by the “mainly good” government initiatives of recent months and the impact of the Paper’s proposals.
It also believes appraisers must be trained to take account of the religious character of schools.

The Church is concerned that small primary schools will find the new measures difficult to manage financially and this may disadvantage teachers.
