I was concerned to read the article last week on the Education Computing Support Unit since it portrayed my report to the education committee in an unrepresentative light.
In fact, the report is generally positive. It states that “the services of ESCU have been developed to the requirements of schools within the former regional council area and are generally responsive to the needs of schools in West Dunbartonshire”. My recommendations, accepted by the committee, requested authorisation to confirm West Dunbartonshire’s provisional commitment to the ESCU with the level and quality of service by the unit being kept under review.
