This followed the boy’s mother posting a 10-minute video about her son’s despair at being bullied. She said of the effects of bullying at school: “You wonder why kids are killing themselves.”
Mr Jackman in his video message told Quaden: “You are stronger than you know and, no matter what, you have a friend in me.”
He added: “Bullying is not OK, period…so let’s just be kind.”
In 2018, the actor congratulated pupils at Dunnottar School, in Scotland, who filmed scenes where people showed the courage to stand up to bullies and intercut these with a performance of A Million Dreams, a song from Mr Jackman’s film The Greatest Showman.
Previously, Mr Jackman has described teachers as “superheroes” for the work they do.
