I strongly object to the term “nappy curriculum” being used as a shorthand for the early years foundation stage (last week’s letters were headed ”‘Nappy curriculum’ is leaving a nasty smell”).
The early years foundation stage is the longest key stage for children, lasting from from birth to the age of five. I am proud to work in the early years stage and it does not need to be trivialised.
