World Teachers’ Day: a time to celebrate teachers for what they actually stand for - not budget cuts, heavy workloads or inspections, but creativity, inspiration, warmth and much, much more.
So, as a tribute to all that teachers really are, we at Tes wanted to remind you, that through any doom and gloom, the dark times and the sad times, teachers still embody one of the most courageous, selfless and purposeful careers going.
To embody that, we asked you a simple question: “If you were to give one piece of advice to fellow teachers, what would it be?”
The replies were wonderful, honest and heartwarming. It was tough, but we managed to whittle it down to our top 10. It’s a selection of tips and handy reminders to let teachers know that they are resilient and world-changing people, and the importance of never forgetting that.
