One of the largest multi-academy trusts in the country has announced that it is changing its name at the start of the new academic year.
Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), which has 57 schools across every region in England, has been rebranded as Lift Schools.
Becks Boomer-Clark, chief executive of the trust said: “Our new name is a powerful statement about our future. For 16 years, our previous name served us well. But we’re a different organisation today: we’ve grown and so have our ambitions, and our name no longer represented us or what we aim to achieve. So we’ve chosen something that does: Lift Schools.
“Our new name marks an exciting milestone for our network, where every child is entitled to an excellent education in every classroom every day.”
The trust has set itself goals of having 90 per cent of children achieve expected standards in phonics, Sats, reading ability and GCSEs by 2028.
