Anthem Schools Trust has named Mohsen Ojja as its next chief executive.

Mohsen Ojja currently serves as acting chief executive of East London’s The Mossbourne Federation academy, which was formerly led by ex-Ofsted chief inspector Sir Michael Wilshaw.

Mr Ojja will take up the post at the 16-school trust in January, replacing Andy Yarrow, Anthem’s chief executive of five years, who left the trust in August to lead Hampshire-based The Prospect Trust.

Prior to joining Mossbourne in September 2020, Mr Ojja was principal of The Crest Academy in North London from 2015-2018, and national director of education at E-Act.

He has served in the acting chief executive role at Mossbourne since January.

Mr Ojja said he was “absolutely delighted” to be taking on the role and that despite the ongoing “challenging times”, Anthem schools would go from strength to strength.

Jay Bhutani, chair of Anthem trustees, added: “Mohsen brings to the trust an infectious and relentless passion for school improvement that will help us realise our vision of creating schools where every child thrives.

“His proven track record in working with children and their communities to improve students’ life chances exemplifies Anthem’s values of integrity, collaboration and excellence.”
