In the latest Tes International podcast, we chat with Matt Seddon, secondary principal at Bangkok Patana School in Thailand, about an ambitious change he introduced around academic target setting.

He explains how, when he took on the role in August 2021, he was concerned that the targets teachers were setting for students were not ambitious enough. To address this, he put target setting entirely into the hands of students - guided by data on their expected outcomes - to help ensure that everyone is striving for the best possible outcomes in their grades.

You can listen to him explaining his rationale for this, how he introduced the change, how it was communicated and the impact it has had in the podcast below, or on your podcast platform of choice, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon.
