The Tes news team discusses the top stories of the week, beginning with Ofsted’s annual parents’ survey and how schools could go longer without an Ofsted visit under new plans.

We also talk about a recent Tes survey, which found “concerning” levels of sexual harassment in secondary schools as well as “alarming” pupil sexual misconduct in primaries - while almost half of teachers say there’s not enough official guidance on how to deal with allegations of sexual harassment in their schools.

Our discussion leads on to research by the Local Government Association, which estimates that the DfE’s new way of calculating schools’ pupil premium cash will lead to schools losing around £118 million. And we discuss how one primary headteacher told Tes that it’s a “kick in the teeth”.
