An international teaching conference taking place online on Saturday 30 May will aim to bring together educators from across the globe to provide a forum to discuss the future of education.

The T4 conference will address issues such as how to use technology for remote learning, the importance of teacher wellbeing and how schools can create effective communities with local stakeholders.

Speakers from numerous nations are taking part, including two former winners of the Global Teacher Prize, Maggie MacDonnell and Andria Zafirakou; the CEO and founder of the Teacher Toolkit, Ross McGill; and Zainuddin Yousufzai, the father of Malala Yousafzai and a teacher in the UK.

Other keynote speakers include:

  • Jaipriya Balaji, a maths and physics teacher at National Public School, India
  • Professor AnnMarie Thomas, director, Playful Learning Lab, University of St Thomas, USA

The event will be streamed live throughout the day, meaning it starts at the following times, depending on where teachers are in the world:

London: 1pm-6pm BST

Kuala Lumpur: 8pm-1am MYT

Sao Paulo: 9am-2pm BRT

Delhi: 5.30pm-10.30pm IST

New York City: 8am-1pm EDT

Karachi: 5pm-10pm PKT

San Francisco: 5am-10am PDT

Accra: 12pm-5pm GMT

Sydney: 10pm-3am AEST

Paris: 2pm-7pm CEST

It is free to attend but teachers are asked to register beforehand.
