SEND Multiplication Grid/Chart - with ideas on how to use!

<p>I’ve used this resource with students in Grades 3 up to Grade 10. This is an especially useful tool if you are trying to foster independence in your classroom. This will allow students to practice using their multiplications, but also allow them to focus on the work they are doing, without the stress of remembering their multiplication tables.</p> <p>Have fun with it, I have used it in several ways:</p> <p>How to use the resource?</p> <ol> <li>Print BIG and use as a whole classroom resource on bulletin board</li> <li>Print and laminate and give out in lessons on an as need basis</li> <li>Small group math intervention – laminate A4/Legal paper and write practice sums on the bottom.</li> <li>Copy and pasted onto SEND worksheets to provide discrete intervention.</li> </ol> <p>All feedback welcome and check out my other resources whilst you’re here!</p>

Come dine with me healthy eating

Context - Students had previously learnt about the 7 food groups that constitute a balanced diet. This lesson required students to work create a balanced 3 course meal. The challenge was I gave all students a different food from a shopping list e.g. potatoes, tuna, apples. When they were put in their mixed ability groups the students HAD to use all the foods that they had been given in their menu and could select additional ingredients. We then peer assessed and students had to justify which group had made the most balanced and healthiest menu and why. A plenary at the end if time.
