Assessment Analysis Spreadsheet Excel

I have made this spreadsheet to upload my results from tests so that I have an at-a-glance view of where my gaps are. After setting up, I found it was much quicker than trawling through every paper one by one to find areas for development. The sheet is conditionally formatted to change colour for values: 1-2 marks: Cell will turn green 0 marks: Cell will turn red This is mainly kitted out for KS1 and has been created for previous SATs papers. It can be formatted and changed to suit different mark totals. If it does not suit your needs, do contact me and I can create one for you which does meet your needs.

I created these note taking sheets for 6/7 year olds. When researching habitats for a project, I wanted them to take short notes, without going crazy in their books. These helped them to stay on track and keep their notes focused depending on the box that they were working in. In a later lesson, where we focused on an animal from their chosen habitat, they made notes in their own books, which due to the structured practice from the worksheets, were neat, detailed and on topic.

These mini writing assessments tick grids help us to identify the evidence that we can see in each piece of writing. We stick these into books and highlight so that we can easily find the criteria we are looking for and find our gaps. They’re handy for keeping focus when marking, especially for NQT’s and those new to year groups, as they give little reminders of expectations.
