Hello and thank you for reviewing my resources.

Here is everything you will need to teach ‘Unit 2: Fitness training & programming for health, sport & well-being’ within the Perasons BTEC Sports Extended Diploma Level 3. My students have achieved merits and distinctions in their examination for this unit, after I have taught all content using these resources.

I have planned this unit based on each question, so you will find 6 PowerPoint presentations, on each of the questions that are included in the examination. These are complemented with two work booklets, that should be printed off for students and they can complete as you are teaching the lessons. These booklets will be a great tool for students when they are revising for the exam.

Each lesson will start off with a low-stakes quiz based on the previous lesson. The questions have been pre-planned and included in the work booklets for students to complete. This is a great teaching and learning technique to adopt prior to the exam, as all content will be reconsolidated and embedded within the long-term memory of students.

This worksheet is also available with my set of 12 circuit training cards but produced here for free PDF download.

Worksheet for use in secondary circuit training lessons. I have used it with Yr 7-11 by changing the working time at each station.

101 Bodyweight Exercises

The resource contains 101 interactive circuit training instructional cards for different bodyweight exercises focusing on abdominals, arms, legs, and whole body. Each instructional card comes with exercise images, simplified instructions and a QR code linked to a 30 second clip of the exercise.

It is an easy to use resource with multiple uses that can be adapted to suit your students needs. Simply print off the cards (I would suggest 2 per A4 page) and use them as instructional cards during circuit training or fitness lessons.

if you print them on different coloured card e.g. Abdominals on yellow card, arms on blue etc. then you will be able to easily tailor circuit stations for specific body parts or to allow recovery.

You could also simply print the QR codes only for a random choice of station activities.

It also comes with a master overview which can be adapted as a recording sheet to track progress.

Whether you're searching for fitness based testing and activities for your students or yourself, these easy-to-follow testing sheets will allow you to take a snapshot of your current fitness levels. From there you can create your own training programme using the circuit training cards and monitor your progress on the basic record or your own diary. Please be sure to check with your doctor before beginning any exercise programme if you are downloading this for yourself. Start basic, start simply and progress at your own pace.
