P.E KS3 Assessment Booklet and Tracker

This package of resources contains an excellent KS3 booklet which uses three strands to assess Physical Education at KS3; the strands are: Physical, Mental and Social. This enables all student to achieve and make progress at KS3 as this is then broken down into 9 individual strands in which students could achieve marks on skills such as: Resilience and Leadership.
The KS3 assessment booklet provides the opportunity to set targets for their next sport and be able to take ownership of monitoring this themselves.
You will also recieve the assessment grid that clearly shows how to achieve each aspect of the KS3 assessment.
This also comes with a programmed Excel tracker to input, record and monitor the progress of the students in KS3. This can be tailored to your school needs accordingly.
This innovative approach to the assessment that we have created at KS3 has been vital to the success of being able to record, monitor and track the progress of ALL students across Key Stage 3.

The resource can be used by PE staff in KS2, KS3 and KS4. The resource identifies the key components of fitness that pupils should be measured and assessed on at the beginning and throughout the school year. A full explanation of the aims, method and an example scoresheet is given to help you construct your own tests that you can use to assess your pupils. I have used this method successfully for a number of years and using the tests not only promote exciting competition between pupils but give teachers a great insight into the areas that pupils are thriving in and what they need to improve on. You will definitely find this resource extremely useful and will use it regularly as a source of gathering assessment data quickly and effectively.

Secondary Core PE Assessment Pack using the Head Heart Hands approach. This is completely adaptable/editable and includes a KS3 and KS4 assessment booklet for students, and a flight path overview. The assessment is based on ‘target ranges’ but can be easily adapted to suit your whole school assessment approach.

This took a very long time to complete and has worked wonders with our students. The booklet lasts for the entire of the Key Stage and is perfect for using as evidence of tracking for Ofsted.

As Head of Department, I have tried a number of assessment systems in Core PE over the years and this is by far the best. I sincerely hope that it benefits you as a PE Department and as a school.
