Repetition is the key and I aim for pupils to sit each quiz 3x and they record their score each time to show progress. The questions and answers are further used to initiate further verbal questioning.

A differentiated worksheet where pupils calculate the magnification of a microscope: Bronze = eyepiece lens x objective lens Silver = converting between quantitative units (millimeters, micrometers, nanometers, picometers) Gold = using image = actual x magnification Differentiation built within each task (Bronze, Silver and Gold) to really challenge pupils.
