These are colourful, fun and engaging visual supported task cards designed to support students to work on the skill of determining different objects. The cards come in different level of difficulties from easy to hard and include a variety of subtle and distinguished nuances. The visuals include everyday objects, colours, animals, feelings and emotions, food items, weather, daily routine and shapes.
The direction on each of the cards includes a written direction as well as a visual to represent same or different for non-readers. Students can use clothes pegs to identify the right answer or simply point to the right answer. These cards are great for young learners including preschool, kindergarten, students with autism and special education needs. Sandwich ingredients represent the various strategies to support the student to use self-care strategies. Social stories are written to share meaningful and accurate information to define, describe and explain accurate information in a meaningful way to enhance the students social understanding.
Social stories are great for increasing a students understanding of socially appropriate behaviours and interactions.
This social story explores the concept of waiting. Being able to wait is a pro-social behaviour which is a fundamental life skill. Learning to wait enables the individual to cultivate and maintain friendships. This social story lays the foundation of understanding of this concept and includes practical examples that the student can relate to.
Visual supports are included to enhance the students understanding of the written word.
To supplement this social story remember that you can support your students or child to learn to share by giving them plenty of time and opportunities to practice. Praise and encouragement for good sharing will reinforce this concept.

This project is a creative and beautiful way to acknowledge and encourage a kindness mindset within a school or education setting. This is a fun, engaging, creative and non-threatening intervention which is great for students to explore self-esteem. In particular, self-confidence, identify, feeling of belonging and feeling of competence.
What to do?
1.Encourage students to explore each of the 24 realistic scenarios on each page and reflect on how that scenario would make them feel. This also encourages self-compassion and consideration of feelings and actions as they resonate with each scenario.
2.The next step is for the students to explore the “Self-Esteem Ingredients” list and tick what self-esteem strategy they could employ and use for that particular scenario. This helps students to reflect, explore and gain insight into their own feelings and behaviours.
3.Students then put those ingredients into the “blender” which is located on each page to cement the lesson. There are 20 visuals for already developed self-esteem and confidence strategies which students can utilize. There are an addition 12 blank visual cards for students to explore some of their own individual and unique self-esteem strategies that work for them.
4.Lastly, students can create a name for that particular self-care smoothie. This heightens the learning outcomes and students become more likely to explore and employ these self-care strategies within their everyday life.

There are times when children will often engage in behaviours such as tantrums, whining and whingeing, saying “No” and throwing items that are disruptive. It’s important to think about the purpose of this behaviour and whether the behaviour is accidently being rewarded or reinforced by what you do post behaviour. In the interim however, until you are able to determine the function of the behaviour the following strategies may provide some guidelines for you to implement.

A problem solving framework is a step-by-step process that helps you to define the problem and generate great ideas.
This versatile problem solving framework can help individuals to isolate their thoughts and perceptions and allow those supporting the individuals to “tune in” to what the individual may be experiencing.
It’s important when problem solving to avoid jumping into “solution mode” too quickly. This can often be the case where there is a lot of pressure, time and resource limitations and other factors.

This cathartic intervention has been designed to support teenagers and adults to create their own “Therapeutic Doll” or “Healing Doll” which helps provide insight and a connection to their core sense of self. Individuals are then asked to reflect on the process by examining the questions provided.
Therapeutic doll making is a sensorimotor therapeutic approach which helps support individuals who have experienced trauma such as sexual abuse, physical assault, domestic violence as well as explore interpersonal relationships.
This resource includes a list of questions for the individual to reflect on post activity as well as a diary entry page for them to record their thoughts.
MATERIALS NEEDED
Each student will require one blank calico doll. These can be purchased at craft stores. Additionally, there should be a wide range of craft materials to ensure that the students have a range of options to use when creating their therapeutic doll.
Individuals may also even want to bring in some personal items that they want to use to decorate their doll. Should you not be able to obtain blank calico dolls then a one page body outline is included in this resource so that students can decorate these instead. This is not ideal and not the intended purpose of this intervention and should be used as a last resort only.

A problem solving framework is a step-by-step process that helps you to define the problem and generate great ideas. This versatile problem solving framework can help individuals to isolate their thoughts and perceptions and allow those supporting the individuals to “tune in” to what the individual may be experiencing. It’s important when problem solving to avoid jumping into “solution mode” too quickly. This can often be the case where there is a lot of pressure, time and resource limitations and other factors. This problem solving framework can be used as a preventative behavioural strategy and help an individual initiative a problem solving routine independently.

There are a total of 52 “In Your Shoes” Cards which all include a variety of scenarios for students to discuss and reflect upon. These are great cards to explore social awareness, emotional literacy, empathy, compassion and understanding.
The student may require some reflective questioning should they need prompting as to the feelings and emotions from the scenarios.
Each card includes visual representations of emotions and feelings to support discussion and reflection.
