Two worksheets inspired on the AQA A-level Spanish textbook, Unit 4 La Influencia de los Idolos, but which can be adapted to any textbook. Worksheet 1 contains 5 tweets / instagram posts posted by Hispanic celebrities which contain several grammatical errors, to be spotted by the students. Each post comes with a range of follow up questions based on their post to encourage students to talk in the target language. Great activity for speaking. Worksheet 2 contains a reading I created based on a youtube video with information on the most famous female youtuber in South America: Yuya. It offers follow up questions for discussion, grammar activities, comprehension activities and vocabulary exercises. Bundle also includes a short taboo game with Hispanic celebrities that the students need to describe trying to avoid the taboo words (they are given suggested keywords to support their descriptions).

This resource includes a ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my Year 10 group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created some resources to combine with working on the textbook. What you will find on this ppt is: types of accommodation; facilities (using habia, tenia); adjectives to describe the accommodation & facilities (using era); location phrases (using estaba en); some authentic hotel reviews for students to work on positives and negatives; a listening activity (teacher led) based on Conti’s technique faulty echo; a speaking and a writing activity to put it all into practice. With this resource, students will be reinforcing common grammatical points they get mixed up: personal pronouns: s/he, we, they high frequency reflexives, stem-changing verbs and irregular verbs verbs in the 1st and 3rd person, singular and plural por/para ser/estar preterite, present, future & conditional haber, ser & tener in the 3rd person singular Answers included; some boards require students not only to highlight but also to write the correct answer (e.g. in por/para). A popular resource among my students, as it’s an alternative way of doing revision for which you just need a bunch of different highlighters.

A ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 1.3 Cartelera de cine from the Viva 3 rojo textbook. You will find relevant vocabulary for students to be able to talk about types of movies and give an opinion on them using a range of adjectives the textbook doesn’t provide. The near future tense is recapped with a few activities and there are opportunities to use it verbally and in writing in the wrap-up paragraph at the end of the unit. Ppt contains vocab sheets if you print these for your ss; vocab tests and activities to put all skills into practice, as well as a generous range of starter activities / plenaries. A whole lesson based on the Mira 3 textbook, En que trabajas topic. Materials included: a powerpoint presentation with a few extended and extra activities I have made up based on the textbook, and a worksheet on professions (to work on definitions and basic grammar based on genders)

A super straightforward lesson devised to teach how to talk about past holidays annswering to the questions when, where, how, who with, etc and using the verb “ir” in all its forms in the preterite tense. Activities included: a starter, plenary with MWBs, speaking, dice game to revise grammar, a quick reading and a writing. It includes a lesson plan that you can follow to make your life easier.

A lesson on Unit 9 “nuestro planeta” from the Mira GCSE rojo which can basically be used with any textbook to cover the topic of environment and environmental problems. Activities included in the bundle: starter, quiz-quiz trade for plenary, and extended reading with grammar activities on “se deberia” and a detailed lesson plan to help with organising the lesson.

A 33-slide ppt that includes: a range of varied activities created to support the textbook, 2 vocabulary tests, an extended reading activity. Tasks are made to challenge students of high ability. Look at the bottom notes of each slide, sometimes you’ll find info about tasks.

Unit 3.2 from mira express 1

Materials to compliment the first four pages of the AQA AS level textbook on tradiciones y costumbres. Some of the tasks have been adapted to the textbook, inspired on other resources and others are just made up. It includes an introduction to the present subjunctive with a few activities to practise within the context of festivals. It also includes a reading and a listening on bullfighting which is a topic thats not on the textbook but that i find particularly key to touch up on. See notes at the bottom of every slides as you will find instructions, solutions to exercises etc.
