Colour Theory Colour Types Match Game
Colour circles matching game: This resource, if printed and laminated is a good way of practicing colour theory knowledge and retrieval while making learning interactive and engaging. You can ask students to find its complementary colour, harmonious colour or harmonious colour groups etc.
Colour wheel sort activity: This is another resource to be laminated, cut out and reused. A fun, interactive starter activity to practice how to ‘read’ a colour wheel.

BUNDLE Architecture Mixed Media skills based Art project
This bundle contains lessons that cover 5 different artists, 4 different mediums, 5 different techniques within the Architecture theme. The project includes enough content for a whole term and includes a range of homeworks, student and teacher examples and links to videos and time lapses to support the delivery of each lesson. This project was designed for several 2 hour lessons but are easily adaptable to shorter periods.
Architecture artist response - John Monks (acrylic impasto painting)
Lesson slides include, introduction to artists style, an opportunity to experiment with acrylic and impasto techniques, produce an artist response, YouTube links to time lapses that use glue spreaders and lollipop sticks instead of palette knives (cost effective alternatives). There is also a printable starter task sheet.

This is for a year 8 Day of the Dead project, it is a worksheet where students are able to create designs for a low relief Day of the Dead clay skull. It includes information about different symbols and what they represent. It also includes a teacher example of a clay Day of the Dead skull so that students can understand what they are going to make and how they are going to design it.

I insert this into students PPTs and get them to tick off each week what they should be doing and what they have done. This helps to show where students should be at but also allows more proactive students to engage with future work if they are working at a faster pace. This document also allows for easier online homework setting as I can say ‘Refer to your homework diary to see which homework you should be completing this week in order to prepare yourself for next lesson.’
