**** QUICK READS / WRITES ARE 40 - 60 MINUTE LESSONS THAT PACK A PUNCH! **** An exciting and engaging ‘Photographic Memory’ resource that will help support the skills needed to develop vocabulary and text recall, crucial skills for literacy development! A ‘mini-mock’ style resource that can be used for Paper 1, Q2: This is particularly useful as a ‘walkthrough’ task that helps pupils understand the skills that are needed to answer this question. If you use it this way, I tend to follow this structure: Worksheet (engages/helps pupils access the extract)- 10 minutes. Watch (Helps pupils further contextualise the extract)- 5 minutes. Read/discuss (Pupils to underline any ‘interesting’ language)- 5 minutes. Annotate (pupils to complete task #1, teacher guidance as appropriate)- 10 minutes. Read/SPAG (pupils to complete task #2, a ‘paragraph guide’ for pupils!)- 10 minutes. Own (Pupils to complete task #3, if extension is needed get pupils to continue this in their books!)- 10 minutes.
