I am currently studying Biochemistry at Oxford University. I studied OCR Biology, OCR Chemistry, AQA English Literature and Edexcel History. I achieved an A* in AQA A Level English Literature - here is a document with useful discourse markers (connectives usually) to throw into your essay to expand and develop your points continually. An English Essay is itself a discussion of ideas, linkings all your AOs (assessment objectives) together. Learn these and naturally use them in your essays to make your essay sound more academic and coherent. :)
