I am currently studying Biochemistry at Oxford University. I studied OCR Biology, OCR Chemistry, AQA English Literature and Edexcel History. I achieved an A* in AQA A Level English Literature - here is a document with useful discourse markers (connectives usually) to throw into your essay to expand and develop your points continually. An English Essay is itself a discussion of ideas, linkings all your AOs (assessment objectives) together. I achieved an A* in AQA English Literature A Level - here is a table categorising 25 poems from Skirrid Hill into 50 different distinct and judicious themes. This is also perfect for the AQA Paper 2 exam: Literature in Modern Times. This could be used as a teaching resource for GCSE or A Level, or a revision resource to master AO2 (literary techniques). I achieved an A* in AQA English Literature A Level - here is my revision document covering literary movements (including Medieval, English Renaissance, Enlightenment, Romanticism, Victorian, Modernism, Postmodernism as well as Naturalism, Realism and Existentialism). For each literary movement there are notes on the key concepts surrounding literature of that movement (e.g. typical literary techniques, genres and themes) as well as the context behind each movement. Understanding these literary movement is essential for A/A* and an easy thing to learn to instantly bolster your understanding of literature.
