I achieved an A* in AQA English Literature A Level - here is a comprehensive booklet containing a detailed analysis of 25 poems from the Skirrid Hill poetry collection. Each poem is summarised and analysed to high A* standard (with key ideas, quotes, techniques, context and literary theory discussed for each). This is an all-you-need guide for A* essays. :) *17 of the poems in ‘Skirrid Hill’ aren’t included in this: Last Act, Marking Time, Valentine, Winter Swans, Keyways, Y Gaer, Calendar, The Steelworks, Landmark, Happy Accidents, Four Movements, History, Shadow Man, Under the Superstition Mountains, Service, The Fishmonger, Skirrid Fawr *This is because the selected 25 together cover the broadest range of themes to smash ANY essay question with TOP MARKS. Studying all 42 poems would be excessive.
