A 25 minute Tutor Time session created especially for LGBT+ Month (Feb 2019). The session serves as an introduction to the LGBT+ / LGBTQAI community, breaking down the acronyms and investigating why it is still a term which it isn’t always easy to define. This is the first of six sessions to be used throughout LGBT+ month, each focusing on and exploring the culture and history of a different aspect of the LGBTQAI community, from Lesbians (L) to Intersex (I). The session contains three challenge learning outcomes, slides of easy to digest information, a clip task with differentiated questions, a quiz and final reflection task. A one hour religious education lesson on Islamic views on family, children, marriage and divorce. This was used for GCSE RS Thematic Studies AQA (9-1) Theme A (but is editable for other exam boards or KS3). It is fully adaptable and includes essay preparation, quote analysis tasks, a variety of activities, a 12 mark practice question, clips and questions and is fully differentiated (to three levels throughout). It also includes a Christian viewpoints sheet to help with the religious comparisons mock exam question. This pack includes a PowerPoint, worksheets, clips, all well differentiated. What is the internet? KS1 PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. Fracking and the environment A detailed, differentiated and editable 1-2 hour lesson all about fracking and the government’s decision to lift, and then immediately reimpose a ban that had been in place since 2019. In this lesson, the students will learn how oil and gas are extracted from the Earth using both traditional mining and in the case of shale gas, fracking. We will investigate the reasons why fracking is a highly controversial tropic and discuss arguments for and against it. The lesson is ideally suited to students in UKS2 (Year 6) or younger students in KS3 (Year 7). An Anti-bullying assembly which follows the story of Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter) and how he was the target of bullying as he grew up and how he dealt with this. The assembly doesn’t just focus on the obvious reasons why bullying is wrong, but also some less obvious reasons which students might not have thought of before, to create more of an impact. The second half of the assembly focuses on respect - looking at what respect means in practice before ending with some helpful takeaway tips. The assembly will last around 15-20 minutes if clip is watched (3 mins) and suggested questions are asked too. Everything is editable.
