KS3 MFL Rewards system (an example that can be adapted)
Throughout the UK, it is a struggle to get students to continue with languages… Many reasons for this, most of them cultural, not enough space here to go into details.
This is an example of a booklet that KS3 students would keep with them relying on a system of stickers awarded (stickers could be replaced by comments) and test results. The idea is that by the time it’s options evening/ options choice time in Year 9, students would have a record of what they have achieved and how well they did. It is also good PR with parents, management etc… to show positive tracking.
The document can clearly be adapted to suit any school.
