This is from a series of posters I have created to support revision of the characters in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. This poster is of Snowball, with the image in the background serving as a reminder of who he represents: Trotsky. I have included reminders of Orwell’s analogy in all of the posters in this series.
These turn out well regardless of the size in which they are printed. A5 are useful as individual booklets for students, while A4 seem the best for general class use. If using for display, they look great in A3.
Teachers have used these posters in a number of different ways. It can be really effective to ask students to make links between each trait or quote and a given theme of the novel. Explaining what is significant about the quotes and comments in the poster means they practise expanding on their answers and gain a deeper understanding of what the writer has intended. They’ve also been used to inspire students to make their own posters for other characters and/or other texts.
The files included in your purchase are jpeg and pdf, plus a picture-only version. Please note that if you have any trouble with the pdf not downloading in colour, you can contact me at wezcartoons@gmail.com so that I can email you the file.

There are seven characters featured in this bundle: Dean; Jordan; Julius; Killa; Poppy; The Dead Boy; The Pigeon.
Each poster features multiple relevant quotations linked to character traits. These traits serve as the ‘point’ in a PEE/PEAS/PETER style response.
The posters work equally well in A3 and A4 and you could even miniaturise them further to serve as individual GCSE revision sources.
The posters can be bought individually on TES but this bundle will allow you to save £4. Another bundle (Bundle ‘A’) is also available, featuring Harrison, Lydia, Mamma, Miquita, X-Fire, and Auntie Sonia.
Apologies for needing two bundles but TES won’t allow all thirteen resources in one. The only other option is to contact me privately but I’m not sure TES allows that. Feel free to look for my Insta.
