This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Pigeon English by Stephen Kelman. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This poster is of Julius.
A5 prints make for really good individual student booklets, while producing A4 versions is ideal for general class use. If you’re wanting to display them, they look really good in A3.
As well as display, they can be given as a task for students to build on the quotes, linking each one to specific themes in the novel and/or explaining why the trait of the characters is significant. Another common use is to inspire students to make their own posters for other characters.
Other characters currently available are Harrison, Lydia, Miquita, Mamma, Dean and X-Fire. Coming soon are the Dead Boy, the Pigeon, Jordan and Auntie Sonia.
Once they are all completed, I will be making them available as a bundle.
Please note, I also sell similar posters for An Inspector Calls; Romeo and Juliet; Macbeth; Blood Brothers; A Christmas Carol; Frankenstein; The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. All can be found in my shop - just click on my picture or on the name ‘wez cartoons’.

There are six characters featured in seven posters in this bundle: Harrison (two posters); Lydia; Mamma; Auntie Sonia; Miquita;X-Fire
Each poster features multiple relevant quotations linked to character traits. These traits serve as the ‘point’ in a PEE/PEAS/PETER- style response.
The posters work equally well printed in A3 or A4 and you could even miniaturise them further to serve as individual GCSE revision resources.
The posters can be bought individually on TES but this bundle allows you to save £4. A second bundle (B) is also available, featuring Julius, Poppy, Dean, Killa, The Dead Boy and the Pigeon.
Apologies for needing two bundles but TES won’t allow all thirteen in one. The only other option is to contact me privately but I’m not sure if TES allows that. Feel free to look for my Insta.

This is a Powerpoint presentation on two poems, encouraging practice in analysing unseen poetry for GCSE. I used it with a top set Y9 group who were interested in the general election. It won't work with everyone, and it does require some understanding of the context. The emphasis is on commenting on Theme, Language, Form and Tone and comparing these four sections.
The mnemonic used is Turn Left For Tanhouse, because of the local area, but this can easily be changed to 'Town' for more general use.
Also included are two Word documents with the poems on, which can serve as handouts for the students to annotate.
This resource is a series of cartoon posters showing AQA GCSE 9-1 English Language Assessment Objectives.
It comprises a Powerpoint featuring 18 posters - nine of these have the AOs in basic form, for ease of understanding; the remaining nine posters feature the AOs in their original form. Downloading the Powerpoint means you will have the opportunity to print as many of these out as you wish, at whichever size you wish - depending on the limitations of your printer.
The font I originally used, and which is featured on one of the photos, is Marker Felt. You may need to download this free from the internet if you want the posters to look identical to mine.
I recommend laminating them for long term use, and they look particularly effective when cut out.
I created this for the revision of Frankenstein at GCSE level. This is a multiple round team quiz. It can be given to individuals but it works better with teams because it encourages them to discuss the myriad of potential answers.
Each slide has the answers in its notes. Some rounds (such as the picture and music ones) have answers which are not so definitive. If a student gives a different answer and can justify why they have chosen it, allow them the point, as this is where the revision is happening.
I tend to do a round and then ask them to swap papers for marking. This means you can keep a running total for each team and make it more competitive.
For the music round, I access Youtube. If your school does not allow you access, I recommend downloading the tracks and making a playlist on your phone or laptop.
The objects round is optional. Prior to the quiz lesson, you can set a homework task - students must choose an object that symbolises one of the characters and be prepared to give their reasons why. If they do the task well and there is a decent range of different characters, it will work as a round. Alternatively, they could be like my class where every single member 'forgot' to do their homework...
I have a similar quiz for Romeo and Juliet, so please look at my other resources.

I printed some out in A4 for my students but they look pretty good in A3 as eye-catching wall displays. Similarly, you could reduce them to A5 and provide them as revision booklets.
I will be uploading Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, King Duncan, Macduff and The Witches so please look for those if you wish to have the complete set.
Other sets available or coming soon: Frankenstein; Blood Brothers; An Inspector Calls; Romeo and Juliet.
Please get in touch if there is a series of characters and quotes which you would like me to make. As long as it will sell on here, I am happy to put the time in to making them.
