MACBETH 20 KEY EXTRACTS TO ANALYSE
A revision booklet focusing on 20 short key extracts from Macbeth. I have picked the 20 extracts most likely to come up in an examination.
For each extract, students revise the main ideas (A01), select 2 quotations to analyse (A02), and make a link to context (A03).
Also includes questions on every single scene of the play (with answers) to help students recap the plot.

An essay plan with suggested answers on the character of Eric Birling.
The PowerPoint lesson gives a basic introduction about the character of Eric and is suitable for lower ability students.
The planning sheet is more suited to pushing higher-attaining students.
Also contains a 10 quotation revision sheet and a blank template for students to have a go at explaining the quotations first.

Using this marking code will speed up your marking without compromising the quality and specificity of your marking because it transfers the time-consuming job of writing the targets out for each student from you to the students.

Read the work and select 3 ways they have met the generic success criteria (WWW) and 3 ways they can improve further (EBI). The students have to then write out the target before trying to meet it. The 20 criteria start with the basics of using full stops and capital letters before moving on to much harder targets such as using a full range of punctuation. This should work with any creative writing task. Students can also use it a self-assessment tool.
I have also included a differentiated and more visually stimulating version which just has 8 targets.
Writing frame comparing Ozymandias and My Last Duchess Power and Conflict
2 differentiated writing frames to help students answer the following question:
Compare the ways the poets in My Last Duchess and one other poem (Ozymandias) present the power of pride. (30).
The tough version includes sentence starts for the initial conceptual comparisons while the tougher version offers more independence.
