Up to 7 lessons worth of material to encourage practical musicianship. Differentiated resources for different instruments in order to create an ensemble performance of Don’t Stop Believing. There are at least 3 tasks for each instrument and the music is also annotated with note names or without. There is also a Sibelius 6 file which can be adapted to suit other instrumentation. The wow word sheet has 3 levels of differentiation and introduces students to musical language by describing the musical features of the song - this works well as a starter and provides a suitable worksheet for students to revise from for an end of unit listening test.

A introductory unit with differentiated powerpoint and resources to support students in composing a pop song chorus or verse using music technology. This is a series of lessons (minimum 3 to complete effectively). Students are taken through a chord sequence, bass line, drum kit part and vocal melody all with differentiated tasks. There is also a composition guide with step by step instructions so students can complete the tasks at their own rate. A lot of push your thinking ideas are included which would allow students to achieve higher grades.

3-5 lessons which revise the Beethoven set work-Sonata in C minor. Lesson 1 focuses on the key features of the movement and categorises the musical elements into the main features of the piece e.g. piano and sonata form. The lessons is differentiated with success criteria and has answers included. This also focuses on the main musical elements and how you would describe them in an essay. This would take more than 1 hour long lesson. Lesson 2-3 focuses on the extended answer for Question 9 in the exam by picking out the main features for all the musical elements and trying to explain them to ensure AO4 is achieved in the answer. Lesson 3 also focuses on wider listening and uses 3 example piece from different time periods (sheet music provided). There is also a document with a summary of the Beethoven movement on just over 2 sides of A4 with the main features students need to know for the exam (this is in prose). There are 20 differentiated questions where answers can be found in the text. Ideal for revision lesson, homework or a cover lesson. Answer are provided.

A complete resource to introduce and teach a full analysis of the Eduqas AoS1 set work for first examination 2022 ‘Bach’s Badinerie’. There are two lessons which introduce the set work ‘Bach’s Badinerie’ by giving an understanding of Baroque music, the composer, instrumentation and the larger suite Badinerie is taken from. This leads into a full analysis of section A (and a summary) and section B (and a summary). All resources have graded success criteria for each task and are therefore fully differentiated. The worksheets ensure students annotate their scores with all necessary information and are differentiated according to target grade. Homework ideas are provided as well as criteria for any performing of the piece you may wish to do. Where answers are required they are on the PPs.
