With the release of new film ’12 Years A Slave’ in cinemas in January the topic of slavery has once again been brought to the forefront. To mark International Women's Day on March 8, Into Film has created a brand new assembly resource called Women in the Film Industry, that aims to champion the significance of female roles in the world of film. The resource consists of an interactive PowerPoint presentation to be displayed in school assemblies, as well as teachers' notes to compliment each slide, and to help raise discussion and stimulate consideration of how women are represented in the film industry and the media.
