SATS Practise Cards (Gerald the Giraffe)
Dear DfE,
I very much enjoyed pulling apart your SATS papers and putting Gerald the Giraffe all over them to make them more child friendly for my class of 7 year olds to practise on! Maybe next time you could do that? Save me a job, yes? :)

'Work in progress' Signs
‘Work In Progress’ signs, FREE download!
Busy children are often expected to stop what they are enthralled with and return the classroom to a tidy state, whether what they are playing with is completed or not. These ‘Work In Progress’ signs I created for children to put on models or construction that they have not yet completed in order to protect what is being built so that others know not to tidy it away. No more anxiety over “but it’s not finished!” and I convey the message that the ideas and creations of a child are respected and viewed as far more important than the tidiness of the room. The idea is working too well for me to not share it, so here is a link to download copies of the resources I have made, help yourselves.

Easter Bunny Nature Craft

Print and decorate with nature!
I ask children to create their bunny rabbits by using natural materials that have been found in the playground! Leaves make the most perfect rabbit ears! You can also use…
Grass
Stones
Flowers
Sticks
Soil
Seeds

Daily Maths Fact Fluency (EYFS and KS1)
After finding it difficult to fit in daily maths facts fluency sessions, I have created two A4 sheets which can be printed back to back containing a wide range of maths skills that children (EYFS, Year One and Year Two) would benefit from practising every day. These can be laminated then placed upon the children’s desks as early morning work, daily maths practice, an activity for early finishers or for interventions.
Encourages children to practise:
Counting in multiples of two, five and ten.
Doubling numbers up to 10 using a pictorial representation of ladybirds.
Simple addition facts and simple subtraction facts.
Number bonds to 10 using tens frame representations.
Using a 100 square to find more/less of a given number, half, triple and double.
The Teacher Traveller
More and less 100 square puzzle
In this activity sheet children are encouraged to find one more, one less, ten more, and ten less using a simple and clear number puzzles and a 100 square.
The set up of the number puzzle grids encourage children to look for patterns within 100 squares and become accustomed to the 100 square lay out.

Plural 's' and 'es' activity
Simple ‘s’ activity sheets with space for children to write the plural ‘s’ in the words ‘tree’, ‘flower’ ‘seed’ and ‘spade’. Space given for children to draw multiple trees, flowers, seeds and spades. Finally, lines given underneath for children to apply this and write a sentence about these objects, e.g. ‘I plant lots of seeds that will grow into trees.’
Simple ‘es’ activity sheets with a missing space for children to write the words to match the pictures (‘foxes’, ‘buses’, ‘wishes’ and ‘lunches’). Children to then extend the sentence using their own ideas on the lines given.

Parts of a tree flip out booklet
A visually pleasing and engaging resource to teach or revise the main parts of a tree. Children to cut along the lines of the first sheet and stick this on top of the lined sheet. These can then be folded out with space to write underneath about the given tree parts. Once finished children will have a flip out booklet!

Motivation Mirror Display
Set these words up around a mirror and the child can read them aloud while looking at themselves! Pack comes with 36 meaningful, descriptive adjectives.
Positive affirmation mirror display as a reminder to all children that they are all unique, brave, awesome and so much more! Such a powerful tool in the classroom to help children see the best in themselves and build self esteem.
An affirmation is a short phrase that is recited with the purpose of empowering children. For example, children might begin their day by saying “I am smart. I can do hard things. I am accepting.” Repeating such affirmations have notable effects on our minds, even at the youngest of ages.
