Making the links between what we do in class and real-world businesses can be one of the best ways to fully understand the concepts we cover in GCSE Business Studies.
This booklet follows Unit 1: Business Activities, for the first half term to introduce students to the research skills they can use to apply their understanding to the GCSE subject.
In this booklet, students can:
Identify and research a chosen or given business
Apply what they have learned to the chosen business, showing links between theory and practice
Use the theory covered in lessons to make comments on different elements of the business
Practice** exam style questions **
This resource can then be used as a revision guide to support students in an end of topic test or for their GCSEs.

With this spreadsheet, you can show the students what their final grades will be, assuming different coursework grade mixes.
Essentially, you enter the student’s grades from their unit 1 and unit 2 tests and the spreadsheet will show the student’s possible final grades, showing what their final grade could be if they achieve all possible mixes of coursework grades
This spreadsheet:
Compares actual grades with MEG grades
Shows a ‘what if’ the student achieves different grades
Shows an overall residual per student
