This is a 3 page comprehension worksheet which includes fun research and design activities. The subject is about Easter eggs and has no religious content. Children can gain meaning from text, explain information, give opinions, complete vocabulary and True/False questions, undertake research activities and design and create. 5 pages ready to print including answers.
Children had lots of fun with this activity and even reluctant writers and readers were engaged.
Differentiation: More capable students can complete unassisted or in pairs. Low level readers can work with teacher or teacher aide. It is suggested these children number the paragraphs and use highlighters to locate answers.

Perfect for an introduction to the topic for younger years but also a good revision tool for older students. Children can practise reading, explaining, interpreting, predicting and participating in discussions. Can be used as an individual or partner activity or as part of group work.

Activity One: Children read simple definitions of being mean and bullying and then must explain the difference between the two things to 3 people and listen to 3 people explain it to them. An excellent strategy for consolidating concepts.

Activity Three: Multiple Choice – children read 3 different scenarios and choose the best way to react from the responses given. Great for generating discussion around the topic.
