Lessons focusing on analysing language and structure and also answering the thematic question using where? how? why? context? Included planning sheet and step by step lesson. The thematic question lesson can be used again and again by just changing the theme/character question focus. When pupils are comfortable you can even just use the planning sheet printed on A3! I mark for Edexcel and so use explicit targets linked to the mark scheme, focusing on answers that are perceptive, language driven and confident.

Heavily scaffolded for low ability, EAL class, however, appropriate for introducing Socratic Circle debate to class too. Comes with an article for motivation, peer feedback forms for coaching each other and the lesson pp which is heavily scaffolded. This was the last observation of my ITT year and I received Outstanding for it!
