This is a set of 3 activity sheets to use when comparing a Goldfish and a Goldfish Cracker. Typically teachers have taught Living and Non-Living using an earthworm and a gummy worm, but I found this was a better alternative for those not willing to bring live worms to school, with the added bonus of getting a class pet!
This is a set of question cards designed to get students used to giving answers and collecting data on a daily basis. Questions can be simple or require a more critical thinking approach, but all questions require a yes or no answer. Simply print out, laminate, and cut the cards, being sure to post a new question each day. Provide 3 containers beneath where the daily question is posted, (1 for yes, 1 for no, and 1 for holding counters such as pennies, marbles, cubes, etc...). When students enter class they read the question, select a counter, and place it in the container for yes or no dependent on their answer. Assign one student daily or weekly as the tallier who must go and total the counters for yes and no. being sure to record it as well.

This Homework Survey was created with a student's home life in mind in addition to trying to make a teacher's life a little bit easier. Many times teachers go back and forth regarding homework: assign it and no one completes it, or enforce a zero homework policy and upset parents that there isn't any practice to be done at home.
This survey allows teachers to assess a student's home life and activities away from school to determine what kind of homework might be best, how long it should take, in what form a student should complete their homework, etc...

This packet includes:
1 template

4 step instructions
(**Please note that you will need the selected materials per student to complete this activity, all of which can be purchased at local stores or on Amazon: 3v coin cell battery, Diode LED lights, roll of 5mm copper tape, pennies, and binder clips)

This is a fantastic product to introduce to your STEM students, or eager engineers. Similar to "Story Cubes", these are "STEM Cubes". Students roll all the cubes together, and position them to be face up after rolling. Students will determine which materials they can select, how much of each material, how much time they have to build, and can even be suggested a topic to build. Set these cubes out as an independent center, team building, group work, etc...
***PLEASE NOTE*** You must provide your students with the variety of materials featured on the dice in order for them to complete the task successfully. All materials are easily accessible no matter where you are.
This packet includes:
