This is a knowledge organiser I have created for my A-Levels students on the topic of family. We use Edexcel and we study this topic only for Spain, so there are no references to Hispanic America. However, the resource is editable. I would recommend printing this resource in A3, although it could also work on A4, but a lot smaller. On one side of the document students find all the notes and information they need to know about how the concept of family has changed throughout the years. There are five headings to go with this: La influencia de la Iglesia Católica en el concepto de familia tradicional. El declive de la tasa de natalidad y sus consecuencias. On the other side of the document students will find a total of 11 activities that they need to complete. This resource includes: A Power Point presentation (for teachers) to show students with information about the festival of Las Fallas (Valencia, Spain). In the Power Point students will learn about the origin, the building of the structures and the most important events taking part place during the festival. There are 15 activities for students to complete, including genuine reading, listening (through videos) and translation into both English and Spanish. It is an editable document and all answers are embedded. Some extension work provided. There is also a homework task. There is a Power Point (for students) which doesn’t show any answers and that you can send directly to the printer. Also both Power Points are included in pdf format. This is a booklet I have created on numbers 1 to 1,000,000 for my GCSE students, although I have used it with top sets Year 9 and 8 as well. In this booklet you will find: A page and a half explaining how numbers are formed in Spanish, from 1 to over 1 million. A total of 7 activities, including a crossword, wordsearch, maths calculation, number writing and money counting. This booklet will cover a whole lesson for over an hour. This is a lesson for Dynamo 3 - Module 1 (Mon monde à moi), Unit 2 (Amis pour toujours!). This lesson is aimed at a mixed ability group, therefore I have tried to keep the lesson simple and the activities not too difficult. This lesson covers talking about describing yourself and your friends and using the verbs avoir and être. This lesson includes: Vocab A variety of activities (vocab, translation, reading, etc). For the wheel activity, show the ppt in full screen and sping the wheel by clicking on the centre. Each category is worth a different amount of points. Ask students to translate the sentence that they get after spinning and if they do it correctly, award them the points. The wheel is also editable so you can change the sentences if you want. Lessons are completely editable and all answers are included. No homework included as there is a homework booklet to go with this module. This is a lesson I use with my Year 9 groups. We start GCSE a year earlier just so we have time to cover everything. We use the VIVA textbook foundation, although sometimes I use some things from the higher textbook too. This lesson´s focus is on describing a holiday in the past. There is a vocab presentation and a few interactive activities to do with them, then students can find some activities to do independently. The reason why I created this pack is because I wanted to get rid of exercise books and worksheets in the class. This is a resource that I have created to help my GCSE students with their grammar, especially conjugating verbs. This resource has two sides (of an A4: The first sides contains 20 regular verbs conjugated in the first person. Also, this side includes a table with different opinion verbs in the present and the past. The other side has 20 irregular verbs, those that I consider the most common, also conjugated in just the first person. It also contains a table with some frequency expressions and time expressions.
