I have been teaching science for the last seven years in the south-west. I have had experience doing a roadshow for the Vancouver aquarium for schools across British Columbia to gain experience outside the classroom. I am to provide differentiated lesson plans and resources along with plenary ideas.

Here are some fully differentiated lesson plans, presentations, tracking sheets and revision worksheet for the atomic structure topic. These lessons include:
1. The history of atom
2. Atomic structure
3. Electron configuration
4. Isotopes
5. Revision broadsheet
Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans for the year 8 metals topic. These include starters and plenaries. These lessons include the following:
metals
metals and acids
metals and oxygen
rusting
wonders of tin
metals and water
This is a series of interactive powerpoint lessons on the acids and alkalis topic. The following lessons are included:
L1 - ACIDS AND METALS
L2 - ACIDS AND CARBONATES
L3 - NEUTRALISATION
L4 - PREPARING A SOLUBLE SALT
L5 - EXO AND ENDOTHERMIC REACTIONS
L6 - PH SCALE
L7 - IONISATION OF ACIDS
answers are included to all question/activities.
Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans on the fuels part of the C1 topic. These include starters and plenaries. These lessons include the following:
hydrocarbons
properties of hydrocarbons
fractional distillation
cracking of hydrocarbons
Here is a series of fully differentiation lesson plans introducing the new year 7's to science in secondary school. These include starters and plenaries. These lessons include the following:
lab rules
Bunsen burners
pouring and mixing chemicals
research a famous scientist
I have created frames for four types of plenary assessments I do at the end of each lesson. These frames can be easily changed to allow simple planning time. The frames I have made are for:
catchphrase
Have I got news for you
Question of Sport
PEEL conclusions
each frame is colour coded for level of question (blue = easy, orange = medium, purple = hard)
Catchphrase contains boxes that you can alter the questions within. Once pressed the box will disappear to reveal a part of the catchphrase behind. Pupils love guessing the catchphrases. Their is an abundant source of catchphrase pictures on google images.
Have I got news for you enables pupils to identify the missing keywords from the sentence surrounding the lesson. The tiles that hide the keywords will disappear with each click.
Question of sport contains 5 boxes that are colour coded to show level of difficulty. Pupils pick a number which will hyperlink to a slide with the question on. there is a box in this slide that allows you to hyperlink back to the original slide ready for the next number.
PEEL conclusion is a frame to help pupils develop their written conclusion answers. P = point - make a simple conclusion, EE = explain and evidence - use your table of results to prove this conclusion and L = link - link this conclusion to wider society.
For the above topic I have created three home learning task sheets that include outcomes and rewards. I have created two marking feedback sheets to either be peer assessed or teacher assessed for specific lessons. I have also created an overall tracking sheet to enable pupils to follow their own personal progress across the topic.
Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans for the first half of the C2 topic. These include starters and plenaries. These include the following:
earths structure and tectonic plates
volcanic rock (igneous rock)
metals
alloys
steel and aluminium
rusting
concrete and thermal decomposition
construction materials
Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans on the C2 OCR topic surrounding acids and electrolysis. These include starters and plenaries. These lesson plans include:
acids and bases
neutralisation
making ammonia
cost of ammonia
making fertilisers
using fertilisers
what is electrolysis
electrolysis of brine
Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans on the periodic table. These include starters and plenaries. These lessons include the following:
elements and compounds
organising elements - Mendeleev
atomic structure
The halogens
The noble gases
Vital non-metals
Here are six revision broadsheets that covers all the topics in year 8 science. The topics link to those of the Collins KS3 science textbook. The broadsheets are as follows:
Human body and energy
plants
Particles
Acids and alkalis
contact and non contact forces
magnetism and electricity

I have created two marking feedback sheets to either be peer assessed or teacher assessed for specific lessons. I have also created an overall tracking sheet to enable pupils to follow their own personal progress across the topic.

Here is a range of home learning activities that can be used to support learners in science. Here is a range of fun practicals that can be competed safely in the home with basic home equipment. To include:
energy transfers
heat and temperature
wasted energy
cell structure
chemical and physical changes
