A revision pack for Year 6 pupils to revise their number knowledge in the lead up to the Key Stage 2 SATs.
Carefully created for the 2014+ curriculum.
The 7 worksheets include place value, rounding, negative numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, written and mental calculations, factors, simplifying fractions, comparing fractions, adding and subtracting fractions, finding a fraction of a number, finding a percentage of a number, equivalences between fractions, decimals and percentages and problem solving.
So that the pack can be used as a homework task, an answer sheet is included to pass on to parents so that work can be marked as the child goes along if appropriate.
Also a list of useful websites is included in the pack, indicating where to start for any further revision.

A self-contained game to be played in pairs.
Use to revise reading coordinates on a grid. Best played once coordinates have already been introduced, as a consolidating activity.
Differentiated versions of the game within this pack, including use of the first quadrant only, as well as all four quadrants. You will also find instructions on how to play the game within your pack. Suitable for Years 4 and 5 (on one quadrant) and Year 6 and KS3 (on all four quadrants).
A game that can be played in pairs, threes or independently. Please note that this game focuses on times tables facts from 2 to 10 to ensure children are confident in these tables before progressing to the 11s and 12s, which will need to be taught subsequently.
Children need a 'Table Splat' mat and counters (different coloured counters for each child). Children take turns to turn over a card, revealing a times tables question. The child who is the first to place their counter on the correct answer (whilst shouting 'SPLAT!') can leave their counter on the board. The winner is the player with the most counters on the board once all of the times table cards have been used.
Differentiate by choosing the multiplication cards relevant for that child, depending on which times table they are currently working on.
*Update: 6s and 9s have been underlined, to avoid confusion.*

A fun mathematical event that links the teamwork skills and effort involved in the Olympics with mathematical concepts found in the primary curriculum. Ideal for Key Stage 2 classes (ages 7-11), but adaptable to younger children by selecting only the ‘bronze’ level (see below).
Fully resourced activities that only require a few resources that will be found in your school (e.g. plastic hoops, stopwatch, coloured cubes, etc).
In small teams, children will tackle 8 fun, maths-based tasks to earn medals and score points for their team.
Each task has three differentiated options: bronze, silver and gold. These are broadly aimed at KS1, lower KS2 and upper KS2, but are provided to give children the option of challenging themselves to earn more points for their team.
At each of the eight tasks, one team member must be chosen to compete, with the team mates giving help verbally, but without touching or pointing to the task. The result is that every child has an important role and remains engaged throughout the whole event.
The tasks are:
· Sprint and Sort (including Venn diagrams and maths vocab)
· Blind Build (communication and teamwork are vital here)
· Problem Solving (logic puzzles)
· Coordinate Treasure Hunt (reading grid references or (x,y) coordinate grids)
· Mental Calculation Workout (mental addition and problem solving)
· Tangram Timeout (a geometry based task)
· Multiple Obstacles (an obstacle race with a times tables twist)
· Code Breaker (place value knowledge will come in useful here)
This event is suitable for either a single year group class or a mixed class. Just make sure the teams are well balanced and off you go! It has been designed for 32 children to take part at a time, although this can easily be adjusted by altering team sizes.
Size of PDF: 69 pages.

A paired game perfect for interventions or as a morning starter.
Children take turns to roll the two dice and multiply the numbers together. They can then place one of their 10 counters onto the board.
The aim of the game is to place all of your 10 counters before your partner.
A fun and interactive way to learn times tables.
Two versions included - one for two 6 sided dice and the other for two 10 sided dice, for you to choose which one suits your class and your resources.

A consolidating activity for KS3.
Two worksheets to choose from. Edit your chosen worksheet to input the first names of the children in your class.
The children can then work out the fraction and ratio of their names that fall into certain criteria.
Worksheet 1: Relies just on the first names of the children in the class, with no other knowledge required (e.g. number of vowels in the name)
Worksheet 2: Also requires research or prior knowledge of the others in the class before successfully completing the worksheet.
This worksheet can help children to discover the link between fractions and ratio.
Children must race against the clock to complete their selected times table race before the time runs out to catch the Pokemon! Cut out the times table races into individual slips with a race on each for the children to select. As a guide, allow 45 seconds for the 'times tables in order' race and a minute and a half for the 'times tables out of order' and 'division facts' races.
Children can track their times tables progress by collecting a Pokemon every time a new one is learnt. Children colour in the Pokemon they collect.
The colours on the tracker (or 'Pokedex'!) represent KS1, Y3 and Y4+ progressing down the page.
Can they catch 'em all?

This is a nice activity to introduce the idea of ratio, by using sequences. Suitable for KS2.
I found it useful to use pieces of card (e.g. 1 yellow for every 2 blue) to visually demonstrate beforehand (using volunteers - each holding the correct ratio) and show how to record this into a table on the whiteboard as you go, before using this resource as the main activity.
I also allowed children to use counters at their table to aid them whilst completing the worksheet, as this was very beneficial to some learners.
In this pack, you will find:
- A board game
- A set of instructions (one low colour version for printing)
- 11 sets of times tables cards (2-12 times tables)
Pick a times table for your children to work on, give them the board game and off you go! Travel around the board collecting as many Easter eggs as you can. To win an Easter egg, just land on an Easter egg space and answer the times table question correctly. Keep going until either a player has collected a certain number of Easter eggs or until the time runs out.
You might choose to give children just one set of times table cards to focus on, or give them a range of times tables cards to make the game even more challenging!
Perfect to use as a morning starter, an end of lesson extension, a golden time activity or an intervention to practise times tables.
I hope your children enjoy this Easter treat!
Save £2 when bought together!
These three games are the perfect way for children to revise their number vocabulary, coordinates and times tables skills.
The games are the perfect resource to have for a discrete lesson or prepared and ready to use for interventions, plenaries, early finishers and morning starters. They encourage children to revisit the same basic maths skills on a 'little and often' basis to boost children's knowledge and recall.
All three games have been thoroughly tried and tested to give you a robust game that can be enjoyed by a range of primary ages. You will wonder how you coped without them!

A fully resourced lesson plan for children to apply their skills in calculating the area and perimeter in a real life situation.
Children are presented with a floor plan of carefully proportioned rooms. Within the pack, you will find three differentiated tables for different abilities of children to complete. Each table includes a short list of rooms which are relevant to that ability group. Children calculate the area of carpet and the perimeter of skirting board their rooms require.
Low ability - rectangular rooms
Average ability - rectilinear rooms
High ability - includes triangular areas and 'holes' in the shape
This lesson was originally designed for a Year 5/6 class.
This pack will guide children through the areas of maths that will appear in the KS2 Paper 1: Arithmetic. Created for the 2014+ Curriculum, all of the questions are strongly linked to those found in the sample paper, but are sorted by area of Mathematics to aid revision.
A perfect revision book for the week leading up to the KS2 SATs, so that children can practise all of the main concepts required for the test.
8 pages including cover page, instructions and answer page. A low ink version is also provided.
Use either within the classroom, or as homework. Answers are provided to either help the teacher with the marking or to give to parents/children for self marking at home.
