Homework Grids: The first sheet can be used as either an initial assessment sheet or a timed game for those who are more able. The final sheet is for children to choose their own tables to practise on a smaller scale. Challenge Grids: An extension, to practise times tables out of order, once children are confident with them in order.

Pokemon Times Table Tracker and Assessment Sheets

(14)
Children must race against the clock to complete their selected times table race before the time runs out to catch the Pokemon! Cut out the times table races into individual slips with a race on each for the children to select. As a guide, allow 45 seconds for the 'times tables in order' race and a minute and a half for the 'times tables out of order' and 'division facts' races. Children can track their times tables progress by collecting a Pokemon every time a new one is learnt. Children colour in the Pokemon they collect. The colours on the tracker (or 'Pokedex'!) represent KS1, Y3 and Y4+ progressing down the page. Can they catch 'em all?
