These resources span my career; from my period of teaching unqualified, through to an AST of English & Director of Teaching & Learning. Although my specialism is English, I have taught GCSE Citzienship, Language and Lit, Media Studies, Maths & History. I have also taught all of those at Key Stage 3, so there is an eclectic mix here. As the main trainer in my previous school, I have uploaded many insets and training session powerpoints too.

AQA GCSE Drama Section C - Live Performance question Training for teachers and materials to teach

This is a ppt. of 42 original slides that have been created to train drama teachers on the new section C of the AQA Drama GCSE. The materials, although used to train teachers were created so that they could be used to actually teach so, what you have in this ppt is a series of tasks that can be delivered to students so that they have a full overview of the scheme of assessment for the whole course, what the exam looks like, how it is marked and then how to tackle the section C question. There is a break down of the mark scheme and a suggested structure for how to answer with example answers that can be marked and used as a template. It would take approx. 3 to 4 lessons to teach to students.

Edexcel Drama GCSE 2016 1-9 Exam Questions 9a and 9b - Lessons on how to analyse and evaluate

This resource is a huge ppt. consisting of 51 slides with activities and resources designed to enable a teacher to adapt the learning based on where you get to, in each lesson, by entering a new slide with a LO at the start. Alternatively, it could be taught in a whole chunk - which would probably take a full day. The materials break down which part of the exam students are focussing on, how it fits in, what the question will look like and then how to tackle it effectively. The material shows the different stages from analysis to evaluation and draw in links from English teaching to help students to write evaluatively effectively. Aiming for top band on each of the two questions, this resource will help teachers to really deconstruct how students can get the best answers in this section and offers WAGOLLs for both questions to start students off. The WAGOLLs are based on a performance of Our Town - but you can obviously adapt .
