In practice, many students are not great at building or understanding circuits as they have had limited practice at it, so they struggle in Years 10 and 11. The aim of this double lesson (plus my follow-up lesson on resistance) is therefore to recap and extend Year 7 Electricity, while giving extended practice at building circuits and focusing on accurately connecting ammeters and voltmeters. Hopefully this will leave students better prepared for GCSE Physics.
