I have a wealth of resources that are aimed primarily at KS4 and KS5; however, there are some useful KS3 tasks that have been uploaded this year. Topics at KS5 include: Russia and its Rulers, 1855-1941; Later Tudors, 1547-1603; Popular Culture and the Witchcraze of the 16th and 17th Centuries; Italian Unification, 1830-1870; and Germany, 1890-1990. As well as History, I also have a few resources relating to Geography and ICT that some users may find helpful.

Various resources from a Year 8 topic on Coasts (but could be adapted for any KS3 Geography class). Included are PowerPoint presentations (with diagrams, photos, links to animations and questions) on landforms created by erosion/deposition. Also included are two worksheets: the first is a quick starter where students need to match up the processes of erosion with the description; the second is a homework task on erosion, where students have to provide longer responses.

Several resources relevant to the OCR A Level unit, Popular Culture and the Witchcraze. Included are revision diagrams, worksheets, maps, tables and graphs that cover both popular culture and the witch-hunts. These resources will supplement work from the Access to History textbook, which is needed to complete some of the note-taking activities. These resources are primarily for use as revision aids and possible homework/class activities. As this is a new specification there are no stand-alone units of work out there; however, I hope these resources help!

Revision/Summary table for the OCR Unit 3 topic: Russia and its Rulers, 1855-1964. The idea of this worksheet is to help students plan and write thematic essays. Students need to complete the table by bullet pointing the main social, economic and political events from each period. They then need to colour code the bullet points based on 6 'mini themes' (that are often the focus of exam questions). Using this colour coded system, students should be able to easily spot the trends going through the course and can pull this out when planning an essay question.

A revision table to be used in preparation for Qs 1a and 2a of the A Level Russia exam. This table lists some of the key topics that students may be given in the question; they must then list the factors involved in causing this event. Included is a set of possible factors that they may put for each section, although this is by no means comprehensive. They can then use this table for question practice, by choosing two of their factors and writing an answer comparing them.

Included are two versions of an options booklet that we use to attract students to choose History at GCSE. The detailed version is given out to parents or to students who want to know more about each individual topic that they study; the overview is the initial booklet given to students. Included in the booklet are inspiring quotes about History, an overview of the course, space for student quotes and a table showing the % breakdown of the GCSE (assessments etc.) This booklet was used for the new AQA specification; however, it can easily be adapted to suit any combination of topics from AQA or any other exam board.

A set of teacher notes that I created over the summer in preparation for first teaching of the Edexcel unit: Unification of Italy, 1830-1870. The notes follow the order of the Hodder text book by Podesta; however, both the Pearson and Access to History books have been used to supplement this information. The date range begins in c.1815 to give some context in the run up to the 1830 Edexcel start date. This resource is intended to be used as a start point for teachers who are new to this topic; they will find even more information in the text books listed above. The resource has been created using Word 2013 in its Notebook layout, so the formatting may be slightly different if opened in a print layout format.

Included are detailed PowerPoints, teacher notes and a couple of revision diagrams to support the teaching of the second Depth topic (c.1914-1919) and the breadth topics up to 1919. Please note that the period 1871-1914 will be covered by a coursework teacher, so that content is not included in this bundle. Resources relating to the period 1919-1990 will be covered in later bundles, so please keep your eye on my shop!

A fun task that instructs students to create a table based on the 2016 music chart. Students need to follow a link to the Official Charts Company's website where they then need to input data into a table they have created using Microsoft Word. Students then have to follow the instructions to edit their chart (alignment, shading, gridlines etc.) This is a useful resource for KS2/3 pupils who are being introduced to Microsoft Word.

A basic word processing task for students who are being introduced to Microsoft Word or for those taking national qualifications that require typing accuracy. Students have to write out a passage of text before formatting it using a set of instructions. Students can be extended by encouraging them to write formatting instructions for their partner or for the rest of the class.

This resource is relevant to the new AQA GCSE specification on Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it could be adapted for KS3 or A Level. A clear and simple labeled map of the key overseas locations featured in the new AQA specifications. Students will need to use their prior knowledge (or complete alongside the text book) to label each location and summarise its significance within the course. Each location was a key centre for trade or land; all locations have been explained in depth in the Hodder text book. This would be a great note taking exercise as the book tends to waffle slightly.

A short 20-mark assessment that is designed for the CIE iGCSE ICT specification. All questions test students' knowledge of Units 2 and 3, so this would be great to use as a half-term assessment or revision exercise. All questions have featured on past CIE papers (to which the content is credited). All mark schemes for the questions can be found on the CIE website; however, the questions are relatively straightforward and can be marked without a mark scheme.

A word processing task to introduce students to basic formatting techniques and to encourage accuracy (something that is required in all national assessments). Students have to write out a block of text before formatting it using a set of instructions. More able students will be able to follow the instructions to create an automatic file name and to edit the content in the header/footer. This can be edited for KS2; however, it is primarily suited to Year 8 and Year 9. Instructions have been included for each step so that less able students can be prompted on how to complete the task.

A set of 22 revision dominoes for the new AQA GCSE unit: Restoration England, 1660-1685. This is really useful as a starter activity as students move closer to the exam (or at the end of the unit) - hand one domino to each pupil and have them read out the date, the pupil with the corresponding event reads this out and then reads out their date. This should start a chain reaction around the room. My class always want to beat their time! There are perhaps more events and dates that can be added; however, this is a useful starting point.

This resource was designed for the new AQA History GCSE unit: Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it would be suitable for any topic on classical/baroque architecture. All images have been sourced from WikiCommons and are Open Access files. Students can be given the set of images at the beginning of the lesson and must separate them into two piles without any prior knowledge (one interior and three exterior per style). The teacher can then go through the PowerPoint explaining the differences between the two styles, before the students rearrange their images based on this new knowledge. They can then stick these on to two pages in their books with the comparison table, labelling the key features on the photos.
