This resource is intended to be used as part of a much larger bundle for this unit. See my shop for more details. This worksheet is intended for use with the OCR unit: Popular Culture and the Witchcraze; however, it could be adapted to suit any A Level exam board. This resource gives an overview of the greatest witch-hunt in English history - that of Hopkins & Stearne, 1545-7. All content is derived from the Access to History textbook and from wider research. Individual cases are cited as well as key dates.

Revision/Summary table for the OCR Unit 3 topic: Russia and its Rulers, 1855-1964. The idea of this worksheet is to help students plan and write thematic essays. Students need to complete the table by bullet pointing the main social, economic and political events from each period. They then need to colour code the bullet points based on 6 'mini themes' (that are often the focus of exam questions). Using this colour coded system, students should be able to easily spot the trends going through the course and can pull this out when planning an essay question.

A revision table to be used in preparation for Qs 1a and 2a of the A Level Russia exam. This table lists some of the key topics that students may be given in the question; they must then list the factors involved in causing this event. Included is a set of possible factors that they may put for each section, although this is by no means comprehensive. They can then use this table for question practice, by choosing two of their factors and writing an answer comparing them.

Included are two versions of an options booklet that we use to attract students to choose History at GCSE. The detailed version is given out to parents or to students who want to know more about each individual topic that they study; the overview is the initial booklet given to students. Included in the booklet are inspiring quotes about History, an overview of the course, space for student quotes and a table showing the % breakdown of the GCSE (assessments etc.) This booklet was used for the new AQA specification; however, it can easily be adapted to suit any combination of topics from AQA or any other exam board.

A selection of resources related to the AQA History specification; specifically the Britain: Health and the People unit of work. The worksheets include tasks on key renaissance individuals (Pare, Vesalius, Harvey etc.) as well as Jenner and general renaissance discoveries. Students will need their blue Hodder text books to complete these tasks and may also require internet access for research.

A set of resources relating to the A-Level unit: Germany, 1871-1990 from Edexcel; however, the material could be adapted to suit most exam boards. Included is a set of detailed PowerPoint presentations relating to the 'Birth of Democratic Germany' depth topic; specifically these materials relate to the period up until 1914-19 (later periods will be covered in future resources, so please keep an eye on my shop!) Also included are a couple of blank revision diagrams that students can use during the teaching process. These resources would be invaluable for any teacher teaching this Edexcel unit. They provide an excellent supplement to existing materials on this topic.

A number of resources relating to AQA's Britain: Health and the People unit. These relate to Q4 of the exam paper, which asks students to draw out themes from the course. Included is a revision table where students can make notes on each of the 4 chronological sections of the course; blow this up to A3 to allow enough room for notes. I have also included a guide to Q4 along with an exemplar answer written by a student of mine.

A full week/two weeks of resources for teaching the causes of the First World War to Year 9 (could also be adapted for a more-able Year 8 class, if pursuing a three-year GCSE course). Included is a lesson packs covering this aspect of the First World War (other lesson packs available on my shop!) Each lesson pack includes a PowerPoint (with integrated videos, worksheet screenshots and activities), individual worksheets and contemporary sources (where required) These resources were originally designed for paperless teaching on OneNote; however, it will work perfectly for exercise book teaching (simply replace ‘on OneNote’ with ‘in your exercise books’ on the slides). No textbooks needed!

This is part of a wider ‘Empires and Migration’ topic. Included is a lesson pack covering this aspect of a scaffolded ‘Empires and Migration’ topic (brought down from GCSE - other lesson packs available on my shop!) Each lesson pack includes a PowerPoint (with integrated videos, worksheet screenshots and activities), individual worksheets and contemporary sources (where required) These resources were originally designed for paperless teaching on OneNote; however, it will work perfectly for exercise book teaching (simply replace ‘on OneNote’ with ‘in your exercise books’ on the slides). The Oxford and Hodder ‘Empires and Migration’ textbooks are needed to teach some aspects of this range of resources! (However, these are not widely used and activities could easily be adapted).

Resources relating to a Year 8 Geography lesson on coastal defences. Included is a PowerPoint presentation where students are introduced to the different types of sea defences that are available (encourage comments on cost, appearance, suitability etc.) Students can then use the worksheets to decide how they would defend the coast line of Hornsea (I laminated the map so they could draw on their ideas with whiteboard pens). You could stretch G&T students by applying costs to the different types of defences and giving them a budget, or you could throw a curve ball such as: 'residents have said they do not want sea walls'. These are great resources for introducing coastal defences and students can then begin to compare the benefits/limitations of each.

A detailed handout covering the AQA GCSE topic, From Tsardom to Communism: 1914-24, along with a corresponding gap fill exercise. This is a great replacement (or supplement) to the AQA text book, that can sometimes be a little daunting for student. It is perfect as a revision aid that can be carried around easily.

A fun task that instructs students to create a table based on the 2016 music chart. Students need to follow a link to the Official Charts Company's website where they then need to input data into a table they have created using Microsoft Word. Students then have to follow the instructions to edit their chart (alignment, shading, gridlines etc.) This is a useful resource for KS2/3 pupils who are being introduced to Microsoft Word.

A basic word processing task for students who are being introduced to Microsoft Word or for those taking national qualifications that require typing accuracy. Students have to write out a passage of text before formatting it using a set of instructions. Students can be extended by encouraging them to write formatting instructions for their partner or for the rest of the class.

This resource is relevant to the new AQA GCSE specification on Restoration England, 1660-1685; however, it could be adapted for KS3 or A Level. A clear and simple labeled map of the key overseas locations featured in the new AQA specifications. Students will need to use their prior knowledge (or complete alongside the text book) to label each location and summarise its significance within the course. Each location was a key centre for trade or land; all locations have been explained in depth in the Hodder text book. This would be a great note taking exercise as the book tends to waffle slightly.

A basic file management task for KS2/KS3. Students have to follow a set of instructions to create/rename/delete folders. They can then be extended by encouraging them to copy/move folders around. These skills are essential in the first few weeks of term so that students keep their work areas tidy. The resource will need to be edited slightly to instruct students to create the folders in their relevant work areas.

A word processing task to introduce students to basic formatting techniques and to encourage accuracy (something that is required in all national assessments). Students have to write out a block of text before formatting it using a set of instructions. More able students will be able to follow the instructions to create an automatic file name and to edit the content in the header/footer. This can be edited for KS2; however, it is primarily suited to Year 8 and Year 9. Instructions have been included for each step so that less able students can be prompted on how to complete the task.

A set of 22 revision dominoes for the new AQA GCSE unit: Restoration England, 1660-1685. This is really useful as a starter activity as students move closer to the exam (or at the end of the unit) - hand one domino to each pupil and have them read out the date, the pupil with the corresponding event reads this out and then reads out their date. This should start a chain reaction around the room. My class always want to beat their time! There are perhaps more events and dates that can be added; however, this is a useful starting point.
