This is a simple interactive map of Parliament currently saved in 2 versions-a standard PowerPoint presentation and a PowerPoint show. The standard presentation can be used in a lesson in which you can set students the task of adding information to the slides. The show version can be used for teacher-led activities on the board. It can be used for a range of ages and subjects. I am using it for A Level Government and Politics but it could be used for Citizenship at any key stage. I should add that they hyperlinks are over the numbers on the map on the first slide. Simply hover the mouse over the map and click! It’s fully editable so do what you like with it!

Edexcel Crime and Punishment Cue Cards

This PowerPoint presentation is designed to be printed off and cut out to make cue cards (see picture). There are 3 categories of cards-blue for crimes, green for punishments and pink for maintaining law and order. I have used them to help students to identify relevant issues, events, and concepts for essay questions. For example, I sat the essay ‘How far was deterrent the main purpose of punishment 1500-1900?’ and asked students to identify and select relevant cards to aid them in answering the question. They work just as effectively for ‘Explain why…’ questions.
