This is a simple interactive map of Parliament currently saved in 2 versions-a standard PowerPoint presentation and a PowerPoint show.
The standard presentation can be used in a lesson in which you can set students the task of adding information to the slides. The show version can be used for teacher-led activities on the board.
It can be used for a range of ages and subjects. I am using it for A Level Government and Politics but it could be used for Citizenship at any key stage.
I should add that they hyperlinks are over the numbers on the map on the first slide. Simply hover the mouse over the map and click!

This is a pack containing a work booklet for mainstream learners and a scaffolded/differentiated version covering 9 lessons and 9 accompanying PowerPoint presentations with answers for the booklets to allow self/peer assessment of notes. It builds towards a final extended writing piece with scaffolds and templates to help students produce a decent piece of work.
I designed this as in response to a number of students suggesting that Britain ‘won’ the Second World War. I wanted students to consider the wider picture and examine the American and Soviet contribution. Next year I want to look at the contribution of Empire as well (if you buy this pack now you’ll be able to download the improved version next year for free!)

Booklet designed for students doing AQA A Level History coursework. The booklet has a checklist linked to the Asessment Objectives and is designed to guide students in their research and planning. There are examples of how to set out the piece in general and for fulfilling the requirements of AO2 and AO3. There are also templates for students to follow up from the examples. I made this for my students as too many of them were trying to write their coursework before doing the research.

This powerpoint breaks down the key events in Anglo-Saxon and Norman England c1060-1088 into a comic strip which requires students to fill in gaps with key terms. It is intended to be a ‘memory recover exercise’ to refresh students’ working knowledge of the unit as they approach exams. Answer slides are included in the presentation.
