AQA P7.1 Isotopes and Radioactivity
Resource made for the new AQA Physics 9-1 Specification.
Video link is to a TED video and the questions are designed to go along with the information gathered from the video.
This was used with classes of both higher and foundation tier but not with extremely high attaining students so some adapting may need to be done if that is what you want.
All activities are in the lesson powerpoint.
Images used are not owned by me.
AQA P7.3/P7.4 Alpha, Beta and Gamma and Ionisation
Whole lesson covering parts of both AQA 9-1 Physics P7.3 and P7.4.
Half a lesson on ionisation and the dangers of it and half a lesson based around watching demonstrations of the three types of radiation, the materials that stop it and the distance it travels.
Video included is a TED youtube video, there are questions associated with it.
Used with a variety of year 10 and 11 higher and foundation tier classes.
Images used are not owned by me.
Development of the Structure of the Atom Activity
Revision and challenge activity to consolidate the common content between new AQA 9-1 GCSE Chemistry and Physics for the Development of the Structure of the Atom.
It was used as a homework and has been set as cover work for Year 10 and 11 higher tier classes.
Nuclear Fission Placemat Activity
Based on AQA GCSE Physics 9-1 Specification.
A classwork activity/in class consolidation task/homework task.
Used with higher tier Year 10 and 11 classes.
