A fully resourced unit of work for Year 7 Food and Nutrition. 6 Practical lessons and 6 Theory based lessons. Each lesson has a full powerpoint with starter, main and plenary. Practical lessons have the recipe and method included in the powerpoint.
Theory lessons focus initially on Hygiene and safety, followed by an introduction to the Eatwell Gudie and nutrition. Worksheets and helpsheets included where activities need them.
Planned for one hour lessons - all recipes trialled with classes and paired/adapted to suit the time limit.
Practical lesson for students to familiarise themselves with and investigate a range of cooking methods. Focus is on the sensory analysis of the products base don cooking methods and to introduce the analysis of healthy/unhealthy cooking methods.
Ideal for Hospitality and Catering course, can also be used for KS3 or KS4 Food and Nutrition courses.
Product made was meatballs through a practical investigations - method sheets are part of the second part of the powerpoint and were printed for use.

A whistle stop lesson to introduce the topics of Smart Materials, Modern Materials, Composite Materials and Technical textiles for the 9-1 AQA D&T Specification. Includes information slides on each material topic and exam questions from sample papers or past papers to appy the knowledge.
